Dupont State Forest, Western North Carolina
Just one of several Waterfalls in Dupont State Forest. The Granite of North Carolina makes for spectacular falls. The trail to these falls sees several hundred users each weekend and was the focus of the Friends of Dupont's first trail projects. They did amazing work attempting to stabilize a trail that climbs at 30% and have started construction an alternate route from the trailhead to the falls for cyclists and equestrians.
