2008 Volunteer Stewardship Challenge
Club leaders log your volunteer stewardship hours here
IMBA affiliated clubs volunteered a staggering 450,000 hours in the 2007 REI/IMBA Volunteer Stewardship Challenge, a donation to our public lands worth over $8,000,000, but REI and IMBA have upped the ante for 2008. The goal of this year's REI/IMBA Volunteer Stewardship Challenge is to log 650,000 volunteer hours. The objective: strongly demonstrate the mountain bike community's commitment to our public lands through volunteerism and encourage others to join in on the fun.
U.S.-based clubs who begin to log their volunteer stewardship hours by September 1 are eligible to receive one of eight (8) $500 cash grants, and clubs with the highest accumulated volunteer hours as of November 1, 2008 will win REI/IMBA Volunteer Stewardship Toolkits. All volunteer hours since January 1, 2008 are eligible for the REI/IMBA Volunteer Stewardship Challenge. Please log your volunteer hours now!
