Fantasy Island, a popular mountain biking trail system in southeast Tucson, is threatened by possible real estate development. The 335-acre land parcel is home to 19-miles of swooping singletrack and draws riders from around Arizona and the world, but the state-owned site may be sold to raise money for public projects.

Local mountain biking groups like the Sonoran Desert Mountain Bicyclists and other concerned citizens have made significant progress toward convincing government officials to save the trail system. The voices of mountain bikers have really made a impact. But mountain biker comments are still needed to support the growing momentum to protect the land.
